DCOWA provides residents of the Miami Valley direct contact with key international figures and networking with Dayton’s growing international community. We host discussions of critical issues and raise intercultural awareness through our many programs that focus on providing insight into international political, economic, business and cultural trends.
Our programs are intended to meet the needs of all audiences interested in world affairs. These programs include social hours, informational presentations, dinners with international visitors, and academic sessions—such as our Great Decisions program with the University of Dayton’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
As a DCOWA member, you can take advantage of programs available throughout the World Affairs Council of America’s network.
Other WACA programs open to members include a monthly “Cover to Cover” program with authors of timely new books on world issues; the Academic WorldQuest competition; a Weekly World News Update via e-mail; travel programs; and more.
