Junior Council on World Affairs

Numerous high schools in the Dayton region have chartered Junior Council on World Affairs (JCOWA) chapters.  Students who participate in JCOWA enjoy monthly activities focused on international topics.  In addition, DCOWA hosts multiple regional events during the school year to bring together these students for engaging programs on world affairs. There are currently fourteen different schools with active JCOWA programs, including the following high schools:

  • Meadowdale High School

  • Ponitz Career Technology Center

  • Yellow Springs High School

Geo Quiz Bowl

Geo Quiz Bowl: Each April, student and adult teams compete against one another by answering questions on a wide variety of geography categories for the honor of being the Geo Bowl Winner. It always proves to be a tough challenge, but lots of fun for all ages.
